Not very creative title. My apologies. I just broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years. This is my apology.

He was my first secure attachment. He was the guy I would go to for everything. He was the warm comfort of my bed after a long day. He was perfect.

I wasn't. I cheated a couple of times because I felt unable to express the doubts I was having. I know that's not a very good excuse. But, that's what happened. He knew all of this and stuck by me.

I am so unbearably sorry that I didn't treat you like the king you are. I'm hopeful though that the next step in our relationship will be that of great friends. You showed me what it was like to be loved unconditionally. You showed me that breaking down the outer walls of ones shell is so worth it.

I hope that you meet someone worthy of your greatness.
