Is being high maintenance a red flag?

If a girl comes straight out and says she’s high maintenance is that considered a red flag? or that she’s spoiled? I’m more of a laid back go with the flow low maintenance type of person. I’ve heard it can be a red flag just looking for more opinions I guess.
