Is the old saying true: If you love them, set them free?
Post Body

Just had a girl split up with me, that helped me get through a 5-year relationship with an alcoholic. She was in a bad relationship at the time as well. We both got out and saved each other. We go very fast very quickly over the last 7 months a week ago she told me she needed some space to figure out who she is, what she wants and what she's going forward to. Between herself and between herself and her Lord. We spent the weekend together. Have an amazing weekend. Today she tells me that we finally understand that we can't be just friends. She says she needs to do this on her own to figure out who she is, what she is, what she wants And etc etc. we both tell each other that we love each other when we're together. We're perfect. It feels very natural like we've known each other for 50 years. She said she doesn't know about the future but but told me it's not me. I never did anything wrong and that there's nobody else but that is completely herself trying to figure everything out. At one point we were coworkers. She just left not too long ago to start a job that hasn't called her back, she's still undecisive about continuing education in the medical field, being a missionary, And just things in general. Is the old saying true "if you love them set them free and if they come back it was meant to be?" And also "it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved it. All?".
