Balance Change Concept for August 2022 (Part 2):
Post Body

Gene:

-Spirit Slap was reworked. It will now generate up to a 30% damage boost to his main attack depending on how much super is charged.

-Increased Vengeful Spirits damage from 1000 to 1500 per missile

Gene was in a decent spot in the meta, but both of his 2nd abilities were easily some of the worst in the entire game. This likely won't make him too OP as his other abilities are generally more versatile than his 2nd ones.

Max:

-Decreased super movement speed boost from 300 to 250 points

Max saw a sizeable surge in use and win rates after her damage buff, especially in very high level gameplay, where a plethora of diverse strategies favored Max's playstyle. Toning her super down, will make her less annoying to face against with her teammates constantly zipping past enemies.

Crow:

-Decreased Slowing Toxin slow duration from 5s to 3.5s

-Increased health from 2400 to 2600

-Increased Defense Booster shield from 40% to 50%

Crow has easily been one of the best brawlers in the game for well over a year now, due to his 2nd gadget. Without it on the other hand, he was easily one of the worst brawlers in the game, so he must have been compensated with buffs to his other features.

Spike:

-Decreased Curveball angle from 100 to 75

Spike's Curveball was incredibly unskillful and was almost always prioritized over the other SP. It led to many toxic matchups against Spike, and made games very unfun for the majority of players.

Amber:

-Amber's main attack is being reworked. Her auto-aim feature is being completely removed, but the damage for every consistent flame hit will be increased by 5% each, starting at 100 damage per flame and maxing out at 300 per flame (if all projectiles hit in succession, the maximum possible damage is 8200 at base level). If a flame misses an enemy brawler however, then the damage will reset. This is most comparable to how the Inferno Tower from the Clash Universe works.

-Increased Scorching Siphon reload speed boost from 50% to 100% (doubles the reload speed)

Amber's auto-aim mechanic was very unskillful and brain-dead, causing frustration for many players, even for some of the pro players (like Spen for example). With her auto-aim being removed, and with her being able to deal damage that ramps up, this will make her more worthy of being a Legendary, rather than being an annoying spam brawler.

Meg:

-Decreased Force Field shield duration from 30s to 15s

-Heavy Metal is now baseline dealing 1500 damage at base level and charges up her super slightly

New Heavy Metal SP:

Meg's Mech will decay 37.5% less per second (-1.25% per second instead of -2%), increasing her mech's lifetime significantly.

Meg was a mostly balanced brawler, but she had a HUGE disbalance between her star powers. Her 1st star power was 100% more dependable than her other, which was terrible. This should allow both star powers to be useful across more different scenarios.

Gale:

-Decreased main attack SCR from 12 to 14 snowballs

Gale was a very strong pick in competitive due to how he could sometimes soft-lock enemies with super stuns due to his Blustery Blow star power, despite its recent nerf. This could be very toxic to deal with at times, especially as a close ranger/tank when you take into account for his Twister gadget and overall mechanics, and needed to be toned down slightly.

Surge:

-To The Max is now baseline

New To The Max SP:

Surge will gain a 5% damage boost for every upgrade allowing for a maximum boost of 15%

Surge's 1st star power was absolutely atrocious and useless compared to its counterpart. With a rework to this ability, this should create more of an equilibrium between both abilities.

Lou:

-Increased main attack damage from 440 to 480 per cone

-Increased super attack damage from 40 to 80 per tick

Despite Lou's recent changes and although he was more viable afterwards, he still proved to a be a little on the weaker side, primarily due to his low damage outputs. His super damage didn't do anything significant either and had the only benefit of preventing healing.

Belle:

-Her super marker will now disappear after a 10 second timer

-Grounded will now also drain 66.67% ammo from the enemies' total magazine size.

Belle's super was arguably one of the best but frustrating supers throughout the game, and allowed her to hug the S-tier since her release. Her Grounded SP on the other hand, was arguably the worst star power in the game and was never used by anyone.

Buzz:

-Increased health from 4200 to 4400

-Decreased super stun duration from 0.5-1.5s to 0.5s-1s

-Tougher Torpedo was reworked to where it will add 0.5s of stun duration, and will always have the same maximum duration regardless of distance.

Buzz has slowly but surely fallen down in terms of viability. He has shifted towards a very niche archetype since his release, with him only working on maps with bushes and walls, most notably in Brawl Ball and Showdown. His Tougher Torpedo star power was rarely used as the other allowed him to cycle supers much more efficiently. These buffs should make Buzz better, but not too toxic like he already is in Solo Showdown.

Janet:

-Decreased main attack SCR from 5 to 6 hits

-Decreased Drop The Bass radius by 23%

As time has gone on, Janet has proven to be one of the best and most versatile brawlers in the game. Her 1st gadget provided far too much utility, and her super could be charged so fast to where it became rather annoying in most game-modes and maps.
