How I feel about the balance changes from the most recent update and why they were good or not:
Post Body

Shelly:

Her recent rework to Clay Pigeons was perfect and just what we as a community have been crying out for. I'm very glad that Shelly received this change because Clay Pigeons was so trash for so long. However, I do not expect this to make her competitively viable whatsoever due to the nature of her design.

Bo:

His main attack buff is a step in the right direction, I guess? Despite this, that is not quite the buff he needed. He needs buffs to his main attack arc and projectile speed as it is very easily avoidable. Also both of his gadgets were nerfed into oblivion the past year, deeming them practically useless. Without these abilities being viable, he has dropped to the bottom 10 at least for the moment. They need to start buffing him the correct way or he likely won't ever be viable again.

Brock:

As you might know as of now, an emergency nerf was implemented to Brock's main attack damage to revert most of the previous buff Supercell had given him. And the reason you might ask? His Rocket Fuel gadget was absolutely BROKEN. This is the sole reason why Brock hasn't been good the past 9 months due to the toxicity of his "fat rocket" as most pros preferably name it. They should have nerfed his rocket fuel gadget to something like 30% or 40% instead of nerfing the damage itself. But for now, I'm just thankful he's not insanely OP anymore.

Darryl:

Even though I have been saying he's underrated, I eventually saw how underwhelming Darryl really was. This buff will help him tremendously in closer range combat which is what Darryl's kit is built for. So far though, he's doing quite decent in this meta and has risen once more.

Edgar:

I was thrilled that they were finally starting to buff Edgar as I read this change. But, his life steal was not the primary issue. His low health allowed most brawlers to absolutely shred Edgar and he cannot obtain supers fast enough. Although I do think this is a OK change overall, it apparently hasn't changed him much in terms of competitiveness. However, in showdown, he has become WAY more prevalent and many matches are flooded with Edgars from what I've seen, so Supercell needs to take this into heavy consideration from this point on.

Belle:

Not much to say, but it was a bad change towards Belle. The main issue with Belle is her very fast projectile speed and reload speed. Her Positive Feedback nerf was quite unnecessary and should have been approached in other ways.

El Primo:

Although it's a huge nerf, it was quite solid and was what Primo desperately needed.

Gene:

Gene definitely needed any form of nerf (except maybe his reload speed). However, I feel that the damage nerf was a little too much and should have instead been changed to 1000 rather than 960 damage. This is because he already has one of the slowest reload speeds in the game. Ever since the changes dropped, Gene saw a steep decline in viability. Also, his Vengeful Spirits buff did nothing to make it viable whatsoever. His Magic Puffs SP is still too strong however and needs to be nerfed.

Mortis:

I absolutely love this change. Many pros are overrating him right now, but that's besides the point. He is so much better right now than before the update. His Creepy Harvest SP is finally viable again, and combined with his super's life steal, it can be VERY strong in a variety of different interactions. In fact, I think his life steal from his super is too strong, if that gets nerfed however, Mortis should be a very balanced brawler.

Nani:

Honestly, not a bad change. I got so frustrated at times in Bounty matches when Nani just popped her gadget and I was using a high burst damage brawler like Piper. After this balance change, I think Nani should be in a very solid position.

Penny:

Great step in the right direction, but so far, it hasn't impacted her competitive viability much. What she really needs to be buffed is her main attack projectile speed which is much too slow for her type of attack. Also, her Last Blast and Pocket Detonator are some of the worst Gadgets/SPs in the entire game and are in desperate need of attention. But I do understand the risks of buffing her as her turret is already quite toxic in certain modes like Siege/Gem Grab. It can basically act as a 4th player (as most pros say) and provide immense pressure and area control.

Poco:

Great changes, but Protective Tunes is still trash and It needs a rework. But other than this, Poco is going to be quite balanced.

Rico:

His first nerf since Beta has impacted his viability significantly. He used to be able to heal so easily up to full health, and allowed him to win his lane every time on most maps. I'm glad this ability was nerfed because it was annoying as hell to deal with.

Sandy:

You might think I'm an idiot for saying this, but I honestly thought it was quite fine the way it was before. Yes, it was somewhat toxic in modes like Brawl Ball and Siege, but I didn't think it was all that bad. Despite my likely incorrect opinions, I think Sandy will be fine either way in the days ahead.

Squeak:

I'm very glad to see a once terrible brawler receive some significant buffs. I do think he may need some more slight buffs in the future, but he's in a great spot right now and has made incredible strides in the meta. I think his super may be just a tad too strong especially when paired with his Super Sticky SP as he is able to confirm kills easily with it.

Stu:

I am THRILLED to see Stu finally receiving the correct nerfs to his abilities. Gaso-Heal provided too much survivability, and Breakthrough was very toxic as he could instantly obtain a free super and wreck almost anyone. For this reason, he was viable just about everywhere. From what I have seen after the update, he's still a strong brawler, but not nearly as strong as he once was which will make the meta much healthier.
