As you might all know, Edgar is one of the most hated and toxic brawlers in the entire game. However, that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve attention, and unfortunately for Edgar, he has hit an all time low in viability. SpenLC, one of the best players in the world, has recently made a bottom 6 brawler tier list contributed to other professionals' opinions, and he ranked Edgar as the 3rd worst competitive meta brawler only beating Shelly and Primo. He is terrible in 3v3 modes as his win rates are extremely low. He is too squishy to deal with teams, and his core mechanics are meant more exclusively for 1v1 interactions which brings me to my next point. Despite being awful in team modes, he is extremely toxic and quite broken in Solo Showdown. Many matches are flooded with teaming Edgars who will gang up on and destroy you in the matter of seconds due to his very fast unload speed and self healing which isn't sufficient enough in 3v3 situations. Not only is he bad at being an assassin outside of showdown, he is WAY too super and gadget reliant. His Let's Fly gadget nerfs back in January did nothing to tone it down. His gadget is basically a free super and in Showdown, he can just jump on almost any brawler he sees first. Its so freaking annoying and I don't get why Supercell only keeps nerfing his base stats which is only making him worse in any other aspect and yet, not changing his dependability upon his super/gadget abilities. He has a lot of potential to thrive, but major actions must be taken first. If any supercell dev is seeing this such as Frank, Paula, Dani, or any other member of the Brawl Stars team, I am begging you to PLEASE do something about Edgar whether that be a few tweaks at a time or a full on rework. He needs definitely needs some attention and surely needs buffs to his base kit. Thank you for reading this extensive, detailed paragraph, it is much appreciated.
