When I see seasons 3-4 now, it is so obvious that Teresa was ganged up on for being the breakout star (I am NOT Teresa). I remember thinking that she was being a dishonest mean girl the first time around. Caroline had me hook, line and sinker. It feels different when you can binge watch with hindsight. I think Jacqueline was understandably upset about the tabloids Teresa was putting out, but the back porch scene isn’t something a genuine friend would do. I know that behind the scenes events made Caroline turn on her, but her bitter commentary throughout season 4 is so gratuitous. It feels like they were overanalyzing and nitpicking every move of a woman who isn’t that savvy but ended up being the fan favorite and was doing everything to dig out of her financial mess.

I also used to think Kathy was so innocent but it’s obvious she just wanted to get hers with the baking business. I don’t judge the hustle but her and Richie really didn’t come on doing Teresa any favors and were so obviously financially incentivized to “fix their family.” And YES Kathy absolutely got subtle digs in that she knew would get a reaction from Teresa.

TLDR: Teresa season 3-4 isn’t an angel but the all-on-one take down attempt again and again seems unfounded. It’s impressive she remained the star without breaking much of a sweat with a husband who only grunted in all their scenes.
