I dislike the term Tamer, always have. To me it conjures the image of something that needs breaking and changing. It makes me ask the question, why be with a brat if you want to break them and turn them into a regular submissive.
Brats aren’t broken, they are bundles of untapped chaotic energy. Which is part of the fun. Most “Tamers” are naturally brats anyway, usually ones that have learned to tap into and control that chaotic power.
I’ve been a pagan since I was 13 and a ‘Dom’ since I was 18-ish. I’ve spent years studying spirituality, psychology, behaviour and mental health, including cults and deprogrammed.
Chaos is fun. Perhaps I see myself as more of a chaos herder or imp wrangler.
Take Loki for example (not the Marvel one)the original first brat. Half giant-half god. Slept with a giant, and fathered Fenrir the wolf, Jormungandr the serpent (both of which are instrumental in Ragnarok, the end of the gods,or at least the ones who represent order and structure), and Hel ruler of the underworld. Loki also shapeshifter into a mare, got mounted by a very large stallion, and then gave birth to an eight legged horse (Sleipnir).
Loki is the god of chaos and brats.
He meanders his way through life having fun and those boring gods of order and structure( I’m looking at you Odin Dom of Doms)use chains and various other things to make him behave.
Don’t get me started on Thor who has a kink for drag, and is potentially the original femboy.
There is a lot of psychology, spirituality, and mental health around, under and throughout BDSM. From the rituals of shibari, to the psychology behind subspace.
The fun is in how deep you choose to go, and how much chaos you are willing to let in. Life would be boring if all the brats were ‘tamed’, it’s much more fun to wrangle that chaotic energy and jump on for the ride.
A long time ago I was called the wolf at the end of the world by someone far wiser than me, just after being ordained as a pagan minister or Gothi. It was a reference to Garmr, the wolf guarding the gates to the underworld and Fenrir, the wolf that eats Odin. Both symbols of releasing chaos, or ending order.
Maybe this is why I have the thing I do for brats, I love nature and chaos, and hate order and structure. Though I am aware those brats need herding to stop the all out destruction they would cause if left to their own devices.
