If I’m his bratty-sub why would he want me to call him “good boy” on occasion… I’m confused.

I have a new Dom. My first serious one. He’s a pleasure dom as far as it’s been explained to me as he’s very sweet, and caring. He admitted he wanted me to call him “good boy” and I was stunned. At first, a bit uncomfy with it as I am his sub. But I let it come out naturally over voice messaging and it made him swoon which stirred something foreign inside me like I had some sort of power.
