Season synopsis (SPOILERS AHEAD)

Episode 1 - Welcome to Dreamland Survivor Season 6! This season takes place in the Amazon, with the two tribes being divided based on their gender for the very first time ever in Dreamland Survivor History! The women on the Jaburu tribe, wearing yellow and the men on the Tambaqui tribe, wearing blue. The women win the very first immunity challenge! Sending the men to the first tribal council of the season. At Jaburu, Marge and Trudy bond as they talk about being mothers and missing their children. At Tambaqui, Rattlesnake Jake has a meltdown after losing the first challenge. Rantaro does not take this well and calls Jake out on his attitude, the two have a big argument. To cool down his nerves Rantaro works really hard for the rest of the day.

At tribal, Rantaro tries to vote for Jake, but the rest of the tribe vote for Morgan who Rantaro is working with as they fear them being a strong threatening duo.

Episode 2 - Jaburu tribe wins immunity and reward, however peace doesn’t last long as Kimberly and Abby argue back at camp, Marge tries to step in to break up the argument but Abby argues with her too. Meanwhile, Trudy continues to make friends on the tribe as she bonds with Gretchen.

At Tambaqui, the pressure is on with Fawful and Jake both picking on K-VRC, they see him as a weak link and want to make him quit. Professor K calls out Squidward for complaining all the time.

At tribal, the very dysfunctional Tambaqui tribe is split. K-VRC and Khalil convince Squidward to vote for Fawful with them for picking on K-VRC. They also manage to convince Jake to vote with them by promising him safety, he agrees to this because…he is a snake. Professor K and Rantaro side with Fawful and are on the wrong side of the vote. Fawful leaves in a vote of 4-3.

Episode 3 - Jaburu tribe continue their win streak by winning both immunity and reward. Back at camp, Katie and Ochaco bond with one another and celebrate their win. Professor K calls out K-VRC for acting innocent while being a secret mastermind, he also calls out Jake for turning his back on Fawful and being shady.

At their third tribal in a row, the men all agree to vote out Jake unanimously for being extremely untrustworthy after how easily he flipped in the last vote.

Episode 4 - The men, after voting out their two most chaotic members in Fawful & Rattlesnake Jake finally manage to win their first immunity challenge!

At Jaburu, the women scramble ahead of their first tribal. Ochaco continues to use her social game to her advantage and bonds with Kimberly. Marge and Abby continue to butt heads due to Abby’s sour attitude. Marge approaches Trudy with an alliance offer, the two of them also bring in Katie who they think is a good player.

At tribal, the alliance of Marge, Trudy and Abby target Kimberly for being one of the weakest members of the tribe. Abby and Gretchen vote with them to avoid being the next targets. Kimberly leaves 5-3.

Episode 5 - As part of a twist, the youngest member from each tribe is sent to a retreat where they will secretly pick the new tribes in a schoolyard pick. These two are Khalil and Abby. The new Jaburu and Tambaqui tribes are formed. At the new Jaburu, Trudy is separated from her alliance.

Tambaqui tribe wins immunity as a newly formed tribe! At Jaburu, K-VRC and Ochaco find that they have a lot in common, which causes them to bond and K-VRC offers her an alliance. Ochaco feels like she doesn’t have anyone in the game so agrees quickly. K-VRC also brings in Rantaro who he thinks is a strong player and the two of them haven’t had a chance to work together too closely yet.

At tribal, Ochaco gets revenge for her friend Kimberly and convinces her new allies to vote for Trudy. Gretchen sticks with Trudy while Abby flips to avoid being the next target.Trudy leaves with 4 votes.

Episode 6 - Jaburu tribe wins the next immunity challenge! Gretchen really impressed her teammates with her endurance in the challenge. KVRC and Ochaco decide to form a side alliance with Abbby and Gretchen as they anticipate the merge to happen soon. At Tambaqui, Marge and Katie’s alliance has fallen apart after they learned about their friend Trudy being blindsided. Katie decides to speak to Khalil about the upcoming vote and the two bond. Professor K has another one of his meltdowns and lashes out.

At tribal council, it turns out that Katie was lying to Khalil, as the women stick together and vote for him. Professor K votes with them and Khalil is blindsided in a vote of 4-2.

Episode 7 - The two tribes finally merge into the Jacare merged tribe! Squidward wins the very first individual immunity challenge. At camp, Professor K continues to rub people the wrong way and argues with Syrenne. Gretchen leaves her alliance.

At tribal, Abby convinces K-VRC and Ochaco to target Marge who she has had a rivalry with since the beginning of the game. Rantaro, Squidward and Professor K join, as do the rest of the women when they realise there is no other way. Marge leaves in a unanimous vote.

Episode 8 - Ochaco and K-VRC enjoy a lovely reward together and Syrenne wins the immunity challenge. Rantaro and Gretchen bond. After today's reward challenge, Syrenne realizes that K-VRC and Ochaco are a massive threat together. She speaks to Rantaro and invites him to join her alliance. He brings in Gretchen, who brings in Abby who joins, as she always follows the numbers despite working with the duo. Syrenne convinces Katie to join while Rantaro convinces Professor K.

At tribal council, the plan to blindside one of Ochaco and K-VRC falls through as the gang decides that it is too soon to make this type of move. Squidward does not get the message and is blindsided unanimously.

Episode 9 - Abby wins reward and shares it with Gretchen who have become good friends in the past few days, while Professor K wins immunity. K-VRC starts to sense that there is something fishy going on and that Syrenne has something to do with this. Their conversation turns into an argument.

At tribal council, Syrenne leads the charge to target Ochaco. Katie Gretchen and Professor K vote with her. Rantaro and Abby stick to their original tribemates and vote for Katie. During the revote, Rantaro realizes that this is his chance to make a big move and flips to Syrenne’s side. Ochaco is voted out by a vote of 4-2.

Episode 10 - Syrenne wins her second immunity challenge this season. At tribal council, K-VRC fights for his life in the game, but the alliance of Katie, Gretchen and Professor K led by Syrenne does not budge. K-VRC is sadly voted out with 4 votes against him and joins his closest ally Ochaco on the jury.

Episode 11 - With the duo voted out, the coalition to take them down is no more. It is every man for themselves in the final 6.

Katie wins both the reward and immunity. She celebrates and cheers, which rubs Gretchen the wrong way. The two of them have a very big fight because of it, Abby steps in to defend Gretchen and goes off on Katie. Rantaro approaches Professor K, as the only two men on the tribe to form an alliance. They also pull in Gretchen who agrees.

Rantaro and Professor K decide that they need to target Syrenne, who has now become the queen of the tribe after leading the alliance to vote off the biggest duo in the game. They convince Gretchen who is very close with Abby and they all vote together. Syrenne is blindsided and has to leave.

Episode 12 - Katie wins reward and shares it with Rantaro who she thinks is now in control. Abby wins the individual immunity. Abby and Professor K get into an argument due to both of their personalities clashing.

However, at tribal council it is Katie who is voted out by the two duos who are working together because she is too big of a threat in challenges.

Finale - Abby wins the crucial final 4 immunity. Rantaro knows that Abby will not turn on Gretchen, so he uses his social skills to bond with her in the hopes of convincing her to keep him over Professor K.

This plan works, as at tribal council Gretchen, Rantaro and Abby all vote for DJ Professor K, he leaves extremely bitter.

The final 3 compete in their final immunity challenge. Rantaro pulls off a crucial win and guarantees his spot in the final 2. He knew he had to win or else he was going home.

At tribal, Rantaro weighs out his options and ultimately decides to vote off Abby, who he thinks that despite having a bad attitude has more connections on the jury than Gretchen.

The two finalists face the jury. The votes are cast and counted, it is time to reveal the winner of Season 6 of Dreamland Survivor.

In an extremely close vote of 4-3…the 6th Sole Survivor of Dreamland is…Rantaro!!!

Overall thoughts - I really enjoyed this season. Last season was extremely dramatic and overall very good and I didn’t know if that could be topped and I think it might have been. A lot of the players came to play and really went all out. Lots of blindsides and power shifts. It was very hard to guess who would end up winning because the threats to win kept getting blindsided and targeted. In the end I think there were a few players deserving of the win and I definitely think Rantaro fought for it, especially in the endgame which was very impressive.
