Hi. My birthday was in July, but I got my wallet stolen in September and am still waiting on a replacement ID. The only brandies I've had were the entire line of E&J stuff, but I am sure that Brandy is my liquor of choice.

I recently went to the Mall of America and visited a wine tasting store. My temporary permit was enough for me to sample a small shot of Armagnac there, and from that taste I got interested in different kinds of brandy.

I've got some general questions for anyone here looking to celebrate their 21-ness below:

What would you experienced people recommend for someone just entering the world of alcohol? What should one use for mixers or for drinking rather than sipping? How do you find a good brand?
