Post Body

Looking at possibly opening a motorcycle shop in the boz/four corners/belgrade area and thought I'd get Reddit's take as well. Senior project manager here looking to get out of the construction industry. I have multiple custom chopper, cafe racer, bobber builds under my belt but also a dirt bike fanatic. Custom work (exhaust fabrication, foot controls, engine rebuilds, metal machining, etc) would be the main focus but I realize that may not be feasible right off the bat. Any and all maintenance/troubleshooting/fixing services would be available. I'd like to focus on vintage bikes but anything with a carburetor would be acceptable. Most of the local dealers won't even look at a bike that's carbureted and there is only a couple local independent shops. As far as dirt bikes go, willing and able to work on all years, fuel injected or not.

Shotty work and dishonesty have been a problem with mechanics since the dawn of time; I'm here to remedy that stereotype. Can I fill the void? How big is the void? What are you wanting out of a shop? I'm sure a few of you have some opinions. Thanks and happy new year!
