I say this as a huge Benavidez fan. The reason why is bc Benavidez has shown a vulnerability against fighters who can box and move, although he beat them, Plant and Andrade did have success. Plant was able to use his slick foot work and boxing ability/jab to keep Benavidez chasing him. He landed jabs to occupy David's guard and landed the underrated cross jab combination twice tagging David well.
Caleb just didnt have the stopping power or stamina to keep David from walking him down and eventually tired out trying to move while punching David off of him.
Andrade had less success but still had moments with long, extended combinations, forcing David to keep his guard up and block, which makes him have to stop his pressure, guard, and even reset. He also had moments where he would try to put David on the ropes and smother his punches. Both Caleb and Andrade didn't have the stamina/condition and stopping power to withstand David pressure while also trying to apply offense while moving.
What do we know about Bivol? He can move, has a lot of volume and is a real light heavyweight. Bivol has what both Caleb and Andrade have but to a greater extent. Most of his fights go the distance, hes always putting out volume and constantly moving without getting tired. Just like Plant, Bivol has a great lead hand. Also similar to Andrade, Bivol has high volume and good combinations. Difference is, is that Bivol is a LHW, more conditioned to fight for 12 hard rounds while implementing the gameplan that David's previous opponents tried to.
Bivol will jab high and low, put out combinations to make David reset and guard, and he will also be moving the whole time, forcing David to chase and follow him.
