I have two questions.
I follow BackyardBowyer and my first bow, a youth recurve works excellently. I do not own a heat gun so it was very tedious using my stove top. I used a 3/4" piece for that, I wanted to know if a 1/2" will work? I run into difficulty and that leads me to my next problem.
When I heat up the 3/4" pipe I would have to quickly, very quickly bring it to the ground and put a large aluminum ruler on it. This worked as well as it had to but the 1/2" pipe would not budge! I think the heat is being sucked out too quickly. So, what surfaces can I put a hot PVC pipe on? Or, should I make a flattening jig (sd BackYardBowyer uses)? Is 1/2" no good?
Thanks for reading!
Edit: And I screw up the title, nice one. For pvc*
