I just moved into an old house split into apartments on high street, and the house on the corner was being remodeled by an old 77 year old man and his 40 something year old son. I met them and kind of befriended the father, just having a cigarette together or chatting for a second, but seemed pretty nice, Ill try compress this story down, but I ended up smoking a joint with the son inside my apartment a couple days later (to get out if the heat for a minute) I noticed he immediately commented on my nice things and I just said I appreciate it man, I told him I had worked really hard to save up for my PC and my dual monitor and my media center and tv. Well we chatted for a minute like you do after you have a joint with someone. We just went our ways after that, I believe that was this last Thursday the 30th, and to preface this very important part, we have very thin walls in this house (that's a whole nother issue I can't address here) but are basically paper thin, it's like 3rd world thin it's insane how much you can hear from the next house over (open floor plan, high ceilings, and the workers keep all there windows open while working, I meet the sons girlfriend that day as she pulled up and threw all of his tools onto the street and sped away (really great gal) /S so around lunch time that day I had gotten home early from work and was sitting on my couch, I hear the son telling his much younger girlfriend about how I was just really spoiled and that people like me just smooched off their parents, the thing is he was saying the craziest character assassining shit I have ever heard, I must be a junky because I ride a nice road bike instead of car. Anything that you can imagine you could say terrible about a person , I didn't even realize he was talking about me (I even thought man this dude is a piece of shit) until it lead into all the things I had inside my house (I'm literally sitting on the other side of the wall, I didn't say anything immediately I wanted to listen, I listened as he turned me into an enemy and she began to buy into it I hear her 22 year old clogs turning in the wrong direction basically in real time, he twisted me into a rich trust fund junky of some kind of who just leaches off of everyone (I had spoke to the dude a total of 30 minutes, about basic shit, weather and space filling shit) well I had enough, I wasn't asking to hear this information, so I sent dude a text saying hey man lol I can hear you guys pretty well from inside the house here and I laughed. He did not laugh he just kept talking about me? So I walked out the back door of my apartment and just said my piece, I told him I was from a poor western KY family, that we farmed and I had a general bad up bringing, I told them of my parents and sibling who died in a fire in Marshall county 20 something years ago now. I told him of my struggles to get just to where I am now, with a small apartment that is decently furnished with nice art and some cool electronics, told them of how I saved that money 5 bucks at a time sometime. As I'm getting this all out, the girlfriend begins to start really giving him a bad look, then out of my surprise she tells him that all the things he told her were a lie, that I was nothing like he had said I was. That's when I see him turn a little red and I just went back inside, I tried not to tear up but I listen to this for 4 hours I'm not joking they did this for 4 hours, so at this point mind you can basically hear their loud drunken asses the whole day, even over my tv
