How should i get to professor office hours if they didnt reply to email and seens like they aren't there at listed times
Post Body

Im looking for a faculty advisor for senior history thesis since none of my current professors fit the topic/ field.

I found a professor who seemed to fit so i went to his office at the time listed on their faculty page on bu website last week (since i dont have any classes with him now or syllabus). I knocked several times in several intervals but no one answered and i couldnt hear any typing or noise behind door so i figured maybe he wasn't there.

I sent an email right after with my inquiry and my schedule if there was a more fitting time, that i could also meet at normal office hours listed but i didnt get any reply now 7 days later๐Ÿ˜ญ

So i went to his office hours listed time again today and same thing after several knocks different intervals no response.

What should i do lol. Should i send a followup email and how should i phrase it?

He has one more office hours this wednesday i will go to and hope he's there
