Ok, so honest question because I'm at a point where my pros and cons lists are getting more elaborate to be helpful. So I am a transfer student, I will be graduating with 67 credits under my belt, and I'm also only just a first year. I recently got admitted to UF and from the pattern of my applications (knock on wood) I think I might be accepted to BU as well. I'm only asking because I can't really wait on BU and I have to start thinking more seriously now because housing at UF is cutthroat.
So I am a journalism/Mass communications major and I will be going into film and television production and management. I am not looking to base my decision on money, it is a factor of course and yes obviously UF has the great advantage of graduating debt-free but for the sake of this post let's just forget about it.
What are some advantages that BU has over UF, especially for my major? I specifically really love the internship and study abroad programs BU has, are they really as big and good as they hype them up to be? Also is being in a big city that important and major for the career during undergrad? One of my biggest fears of UF is that it is in Gainesville which is in the middle of nowhere and doesn't have many opportunities outside of the school itself. Idk just need help
EDIT: worst fears confirmed i got in to BU and now i have to choose by June 1st they really couldn't have given me more than a month to makeup my mind 💀
