Me and my girlfriend got ralph. Some of you may remember him from his bronccoli video. Anyway, ralph is actually my first puppy ever. All my other dogs have been adult and we adopted them after they basically just showed up at the house. My first Boston was Fred, who was probably 2-3 when we got him. He was unfixed yet never went potty in the house. He was the most perfect dog ever. Ralph, on the other hand, is quite the opposite. He’s now 7 months old, not yet fixed, and pees in the house daily— even though we have a dog door that he goes out of 20000 times per day. Not while I’m awake, but he will sometimes pee in the house while my gf is getting ready for work. Every day when I get home from work he’s peed in one of his 3 usual spots. As soon as I look at his puddle his ears go back in shame and he knows he’s in trouble but he continues to do it daily. I know fixing him is supposed to help but is there anything I can do? My next step is to put his crate directly against the dog door while we’re at work so he can only be in the crate if he comes inside. Does anyone have any advice or tricks they’ve used? Thanks in advance!!
