This is going to sound weird but I'm curious if anyone here feels like they are starved of touch? It can be any form of physical touch, even a simple hug. As I talk to more and more people, I'm realizing this is a very real issue and a lot of us might be going through it. I know of folks who do jiu-jitsu and dancing because it involves some sort of touch and you see the same people everyday. I read a study that says an average human needs 8 hugs per day. After starting school, I've been crazy busy chasing assignment deadlines, classes, doing everyday chores, working out, and then add the need to socialize on top of that. Man, adulting is so exhausting.
I was just reflecting back and I realize that I've been insanely touch deprived. When was the last time you got a nice hug? Does anyone else feel that way? If yes, what are you doing about it? A friend suggested platonic cuddling but as a straight male, I've no idea how I should be going about it. Does anyone feel similarly and would like to do something about it? Also, if you just wanna talk about it, I'd gladly listen to you.
