Hello there! I'm looking to make a few new friends who enjoy doing outdoorsy things. I thought about giving this sub a shot since the probability of finding friends in a pool of 17k people is higher. I'm 24M and in grad school doing AI research (and always happy to discuss all things ChatGPT with my non-CS friends). I love biking, working out, veryy long walks, sitting in the public garden and reading a book, walking around different neighborhoods, exploring cafes and bookstores, picnics, kayaking, waking up early and walking to Charles to catch the sunrise on weekends, etc.
I spend most of the weekdays staring at screens and thinking about why my code never works, so I make sure I spend my weekends around trees and the river, away from all the screens. Apart from spending time outdoors, I also derive my happiness from dancing. I just can't control myself when someone plays the music (this is also why I don't wear headphones while working out). I've been thinking of taking a Bachata dance class and going to Havana sometime. I also like to read but it's been mostly non-fiction so far. I love buying books that I'm never going to finish. I'm always looking to learn different things, and like listening to different stories and perspectives. I enjoy meaningful conversations and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. I like to think deeply about things and I enjoy listening more than talking.
This is all about me! If I sound not-so-boring and would be worth your time, please send me a chat introducing yourself. I'm excited to meet new people from this community :-)
