If you don't read the manga then just disregard this post.
from where we are in the manga, I think it's safe to say that Kawaki struggles with who he is. It's not even a matter of good vs evil at this point in his life. He literally has no clue who he is or who he is supposed to become. He just knows that he HATES Jigen and wants him dead; and also that he is growing a connection with Boruto/himawari as siblings and growing love for Naruto as a father figure. Why then do you think he eventually turns on the leaf? Do you think a long the way Naruto will disappoint him sort of like how Orochimaru felt when the 3rd Hokage didn't choose him to be his successor? Or maybe Naruto will show weakness in Kawaki's eyes by refusing to take Jigens life when the time comes? The manga has done a good job of throwing curve balls at us so it's tough to see the direction they are going in. What do you guys think will push Kawaki to turn on the village that has taken him in and accepted him?
Also do you guys think Kawaki will have some touching moments with Hinata? He has had these moments with Naruto, Kurama, and Boruto so far. Even Himawari sort of with the broken vase situation. I would like to see him train with Hinata or at least have conversations with her. That speech that Kurama gave Kawaki would've been better coming from Hinata i think just because it would also give Kawaki some motherly love he has never gotten.
