I think what's refreshing about Boruto is that we finally get to see more about the Byakugan seeing as the lead character, Boruto, is from/part of the Hyūga clan. Out of all the Dojutsu's the sharingan, albeit Sasuke was partly the star of Naruto so that's a given, and the even the Rinnegan got more air time than the Byakugan, even though the Byakugan debuted long before it did.
I'm excited for its evolutions we may get or didn't get to delve into in the core series of Naruto because of restraints (or lack of proper story planning-- yes, im talking to you Kishimoto 👀)
I mean, the progenitor of chakra, Kaguya debuted with it being shown, so there must be more to it, more than just X-ray vision and seeing chakra pathways.
Also, Byakugan is my favorite I think because the veins are bad ass lmao
