i know their appearances have been super brief, afaik kabuto is a retired shinobi that wards an orphanage despite being one of the most cracked combatants in the village (mind you, he's still a perfect sage even if his path steers him away from violence) and orochimaru is under house arrest (which is basically symbolic because he's fucking orochimaru, if he wants to slip out undetected, he can ... also, whyd they have to make tenzo/yamato his guard? that seems like a bit of a cruel joke) but the sound village actively becomes a legit village under him

both of them have resigned to working for good and they pretty much never get used last time I checked, so I wanted to post to ask if that'd changed in the story or if they're still on the bench
