New FP without completely moving on from the last?

my situation with my last fp is incredibly complex. basically, we don’t talk. so i can’t get anything out of him. but my little brain still idolizes him to all hell and back.
there’s a new guy, and i can feel the early stages of a fp i think. it’s been a while since i’ve felt this (about a year and a half).
Is it possible to be developing a new attachment without losing the obsessive thoughts of the old one?
