I have high functioning or quite BPD, been diagnosed in the past 2 years only after a 16 years journey of struggles and severe ever lasting depression..I have been reading articles and books with insights on how borderline people feel in general, and we mostly share this feeling of emptiness, regardless of how we could go about defining “a feeling of emptiness” The main question is, how do I ease the feeling? Without getting involved in self harming acts? I am leading a moderately successful life, I have a wife, friends, a stable job and bla bla, but whatever I do, wherever I go, this feeling is there, I can have the busiest of times, it can sound fulfilling for a moment or too or for as long as it goes, but one moment of stillness and the emptiness overwhelms me all over again. You can’t keep revolving your entire life time just to avoid yourself and your thoughts, can you?
