Salvador Skills Question

Newbie to the BL scene, currently working on a lvl 65 Zerker. I read on the wiki that 5 shots or 6, I'm your Huckleberry, and Divergent Likeness skills are applied to the main hand only. Just wish to know if this still holds true (was it patched/fixed or just left as is?). If it still holds true, would it still even be worth the hard earned skill points? Been rocking the DPUH/Grog as combo one, and Torgue rocket launcher/Pimp as combo 2 in UVHM.
