I had started dating this girl, we will call her Tracie because that’s her name. She played games occasionally, but had relinquished to more “appropriate” and “family friendly” games because she had a young impressionable son. I had heard about Borderlands, and was quite intrigued, but alas I had never purchased a copy. Well it just so happened that Tracie had a copy, so I started playing deciding to play with Brick because... well... beating shit to death while simultaneously being impervious to damage is what they call a good fucking time where I come from.. so I play to my hearts content.. fully submersing myself into the world that is borderlands. Life happened and I was offered a job 400 miles away, so I took that shit and Tracie and I didn’t survive the move. To this day she has held my Max-leveled brick hostage, selfish I know. So the new job paid good so I went and dropped some cheddar on BL GOTY and got all the badass dlc and started a Lillith play through. Damn she’s a bad bitch. Anyone who’s ever played with lillith can attest to how ri-goddamn-diculously fast I played through the game... TWICE. Soooooo BL2 is out by now, but my momma didn’t raise no fool. I was waiting for the GOTY so I got the DLC and all the sweet shit that came with it. As I started to play there were things that I didn’t care for at first, and certain things I missed about the original... did that stop me from playing you might ask... HELL TO THE MOTHERFUCKIN NAW!!! I ate that shit up, the regions, the NPC development, the ACTUAL GODDAMN STORY LINE!! FUCK ME UP THE ASS SIDEWAYS WITH A CHAINSAW!!! So I gunzerked my ass all the way through that game... finally coming to understand gun combos and class builds. That Salvador can unleashed some serious DPS if you know what you are doing. So I’m now deeply and madly in love with this game, and I talk about and play so much my friend Kalyn asks if she can borrow the original so she can get into it. I agree and SPOILER ALERT... Trick never gave it back. Sooooo anywho, I recently downloaded it from XBox live and I was literally salivating at the thought of skull fucking all those dipshit bandits and psychos. ANNNNNDDDDDDD goddamn does the original fucking BLOW BIG FAT FLOPPY DONKEY COCK. I mean, it was a FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC game when it arrived on the scene, and I absolutely loved it, but it held up about as well as a trailer park in a GODDAMN F5 TWISTER. BL2 was literally leaps and fucking bounds better than its predecessor. If this is any indication to what BL3 will be like then I I reckon I better go on ahead and procure myself an XB1.

TL;DR Played borderlands. Loved borderlands. Played BL2. Wary. Fell in love. Went back to the original because nostalgia. Just doesn’t hold up. Viva La CL4P-TP!!!
