preferably a hiking-style boot. Long story short, I have a bone spur in my heel that causes achilles tendonitis because my heel is slightly bigger than a normal heel and rubs against the back of certain shoes sometimes. I've found that shoes/boots with a rigid heel counter / heel cup tend to aggravate my heel and rub against it. Whereas a shoes with a soft or flexible heel (or with no heel cup at all, i.e. totally bendable), such as the Nike Free shoes are not as painful and are much easier to jog in. So I'm looking for a full height hiking style boot but with a soft/flexible heel. Something like this link below, and I'm open to different options.
