So found out today that boost sends a fun little message to people if you’re out of service informing them that you’ve blocked them.
“Free Msg: Receiver (your number) unable to receive message - Message Blocking is active.”
If you ever struggle financially I’d go ahead and share the example text above with your contacts and let them know that if they ever get that message, that you didn’t block them, that it just means you either forgot to pay your bill on time or you couldn’t pay your bill on time.
But yeah, just a friendly PSA for those who don’t know.
What an asinine decision on Boost’s part, every other carrier I’ve gotten “your message couldn’t be sent.” Or something along those lines, no mention of being blocked.
I feel like something like “sorry the person you’re trying to reach is out of service.” Or something along those lines would be sooooo much better and less potentially harmful.
Fucking “x is unable to receive your message - you’ve been blocked” wtf 🙃
Get your shit together Boost, that decision was obviously stupid and obviously potentially harmful. Yikes 😬
Like imagine your boss texts you and you lose your job over it or something. All the possibilities here are just fucking awful 🫠
