I was disabled and unable to get out on my own for the past couple of years. I have been reading this sub, sometimes with disbelief that boomers could be THAT bad. After total hip replacements in August and recovery, I ventured out on my own yesterday to our local Walmart. I didn't feel confident using self checkout, so I joined a line with 5 people in front of me. One man was in a motorized buggy with a metal basket in front. There was a commotion at the front of the line, and I heard a man's voice shout, "Too many things" and "There's room! Move forward!" When I finally got to the cashier, she was obviously shaken. I asked her if she was okay. She explained that the buggy boomer had rammed his buggy into the customer in front of him; she was a woman with a small child. The boomer also told the cashier he was finding a manager to tell him that the cashier couldn't control her line. She was in tears. I told her that the boomer was the only one out of control and offered to speak to her manager. She thanked me but said that boomers made this threat pretty much every day, and the manager knows how to handle them.
I am so sorry for people who work retail and have to endure this treatment. Cashiers should be issued tasers with full immunity.

Ah, I see you met my mum.
Even something as simple as "we ran out of Boston cream donuts" has her throwing a toddler tantrum.
I have no idea, it's not dementia it's just a personality disorder.
