More of a question than a story.
I was raised by Boomers who (despite being from a different-ish than American culture) managed to say "because I said so" at every turn. Same for all of my friends. Same for Boomers on TV and in movies. It was SO UBIQUITOUS in the 80s and 90s. Now that I'm a parent myself, I just simply cannot stomach saying it to my kids... I will go out of my way to provide an explanation rather than the conversational deus ex machina... does anyone else feel this way?
Does anyone else loathe that Boomer Phraseâ„¢ as much as I do?
Boy do they get surprised when suddenly for no comprehensible reason at all that phrase stops working.
