Boomer co-worker didn't appreciate my answer to "how are you today?", or the color of my shirt.

A post on here reminded me of a few incidents I had with a former co-worker boomer.

EDIT this was several years ago and I don't work at this company anymore

2nd EDIT Added pic of the shirt in comments for reference

Just another normal day walking down the hall at the office. Boomer purchasing mngr approaches and asks "how are you today T?" As I was walking by I gave my answer. "I'm lovely, Walt" and kept walking.

He stopped dead in his tracks and turned around as I passed. He had processed what I said and started to sputter. "No! Guys can be good! They can be great! They can be fine! But you never say you're lovely!"

I just laughed and kept walking. He muttered more as I walked away but I didn't care lol

Another time, the same boomer. Same hall. Said hi as I walked by.. Then he noticed my shirt. A nice short sleeve button up that had a pink base with a stripey plaid pattern with blue and violet lines. It wasn't overly pink. Not hot pink but any means. Just a nice pastel blend. Well, Walt didn't like it. And he decided he needed to inform me that I shouldn't be wearing pink cause I'm a guy.

Once again, same reaction. I laughed. Said "ok Walt" and kept walking 🙂🙃
