Seriously it’s all the same catchphrases. That generation is so self indulgent and condescending. I’m sick of hearing about “today’s kids…don’t want to work, don’t go outside, don’t have manners,etc…” I have so many grievances with boomers as a whole. I was born in the late 90s and practically live outside, I don’t want to die working my life away like they wanted to, and I respect anyone until I’ve got a reason not to. They’re a huuuge reason no one wants to work service jobs and I think boomers are just pissed because they can’t find new people to squawk at. And what’s with their obsession with work? Sorry my generation doesn’t want to waste our lives working for indifferent bastards. If they want to relive the Industrial Revolution then they should’ve invented time travel since they fucking know everything. Might as well put “I worked” on their headstone since that’s what they talk about when they’re not belittling younger people. I love my boomer dad and most of my boomer relatives but overall I can’t stand how stubborn and out of touch they are. I’m going to start voting again this year just so there’s a slightly better chance that my generation and my future kids generation have it better. I have my doubts but I’ll do what I can while they reminisce about bad suits, hose water, and how much “respect” they have. This is their America and fuck them for blaming younger people and kids when we didn’t have a choice.
