Hi all,
I recently asked about better bookkeeping methods for my shopify business and you all directed me to Veronica Wasek's videos. I've been re-watching them and letting it sink into my hard head and I get it now what she's doing. It does make sense. The one thing I'm still left wondering is what the P&L looks like at any point in time with funds in the clearing accounts. Where on the P&L do they appear, if anywhere? Or do they only show on the balance sheet?
For perspective, I'm running my business from a high school level accounting 101 class many years ago, peppered with a little corporate accounting from a career in business IT. So I'm pretty good with debits and credits, income and expenses, etc. I just haven't heard of clearing accounts until I started posting here, so it's something that I'm getting comfy with.
