I know B4 doesn’t look for bookkeeping, but could I eventually climb up in position starting as a bookkeeper?
My idea is that I could eventually graduate to a staff accountant while in college. Then, do some interning in my third and fourth years. I believe it should be easier to get the position while having relevant experience.
I’m currently handling collections at a small business. Eventually, I’ll be doing AP and Human Resources. I don’t handle journal entries. I’ve been promised advancement, but our internal processes are difficult to deal with.
So, from my current position, is it a viable entryway into an official bookkeeping position and beyond?
Currently finishing my associates degree at Community college. Accounting is my chosen (undeclared officially) major. I transfer to business school soon.
