People keep saying they donāt see a clear plot in present day BOBF, whereas the flashbacks make much more sense. However, the two are tied closely together. After Episode 3, Boba helping out the sparkly highlighter-colored hover cycle gang (which I wasnāt a fan of) can easily be compared to how he aided the Tuskens and helped them get a fair shake. Itās obvious that Bobaās near death experience led him to be a changed man. He knew Jabba and Bib Fortuna were selfish, power hungry tyrants who only used the inhabitants of Tatooine (and him for that matter) as peasants of debt bondage and indentured servitude. Bib and Jabba were gluttonous fear mongers that only cared about getting richer and fatter while the inhabitants of Tatooine begged for scraps. Boba recognizes the old system and itās corrupt hierarchy as something that cannot be allowed to continue. When he says he āintends to rule with respect,ā itās because thatās the whole point of his aspirations for the future and the show itself. Boba wants to be the face of change. He wants to do good rather than relying on money to be his driving force as it was when he was a bounty hunter. This show is about transformation on several levels. Itās about a new ābookāāa codeābeing written and it canāt happen solely through violence, fear and the ways of the old world, but if taking out the big wigs is what needs to take place to level the playing field, then so be it as far as Bobaās concerned.
