Fukien Tea pre-bonsai from Wigert's Bonsai
Post Body

Before Pruning

After Pruning

I just wanted to show you guys my Fukien Tea pre-bonsai. I ordered it from Wigert's (This one). It is in an 8" pot and they watered it thoroughly and very securely saran wrapped the pot. I they shipped it on Monday and I received it on Thursday. The shipping from Florida to Massachusetts was about $20. It was packed in packing peanuts.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience. This is my first bonsai so any advice on styling is welcomed!

DISCLAIMER: I am not affiliated with Wigert's in any way

Edit: One other thing I wanted to touch on was the soil. It was mostly organic with a little sand/grit and some dark green pellets (my guess is fertilizer). To be honest, I expected them to have the tree in the same thing they sell as their bonsai mix, but that wasn't the case. I plan on re-potting to remove the organic soil and replacing it with a more inorganic mix in a few months. I'll see if I can get a picture of the soil tonight.
