Would y'all try and air layer or trunk chop this, and when would be the best time to do this?

i would air layer twice. the top off first.
but i would let it grow in the ground outside if possible or in a huge pot if not, for a good 5 years first. getting trunk development and root development started is priority for me.
removing the top this early will make it develop much slower overall. keeping that vigor for now is better.
