My cat Nova Binx (3– August 13) is incredibly close and lovey with me. She follows me everywhere— including into the bathroom— tmi she do the scream of the door the close lmao. She is even Lifeguard Nova™️ for some showed, and especially for baths.

However, when it comes to other people (no offense, friends) but I “joke” that she only likes queer and trans people. To be fair, she really isn’t around cis het people and there is the theory about queer pheromones! She definitely isn’t a “runs up to you even if she doesn’t known you” l cat like many people describe Bombays. I’ll often have to hold her, and typically literally like a baby while she is introduced to new people. If people (like the maintenance person who is a cis het man) come, or someone brand new comes in too quickly (ie people have been coming to get stuff I’m selling/giving away), she is fully hiding— usually in a cabinet. The other day, a fellow queer/nonbinary friend was here for a bit and Nova was still hiding in the cupboard under the sink

tl;dr Does anyone else have a very shy, sometimes even scardy cat Bombay?

(I do have some reason to believe this could have other factors, but I’m really wondering because this also does generally feel like a trait for her. She usually is ok with people she knows that I trust— and usually she just can sense that’s; sometimes she’s here to do a snoof, but sometimes she does a nope and says fuck that.)

Physical feature

Does anyone else have a Bombay whose eyes change color? Nov’s eyes sometimes are the copper color (def were likely consistently when she was a kitten, if I’m remembering correctly) and also seem to alternate to green/yellow… randomly?? I can’t actually tell which is happening more recently, but here is her little baby face.
