Dealership recall service

I just scheduled a time to bring my 2021 Bolt into my dealership here in Belfast, Maine, so they can check the modules and battery. It was my understanding that GM did not yet have a way to check if the module deficiency in fact exists in any particular car. And the dealership also was not quite sure what was going on and seemed to stumble their way through answering my questions. In anyone else's experience, do you think they are just giving me lip service and going through the motions?
