I'm just curious if anyone knows the resolution of the built in HD cameras?
The reason I ask is I noticed in the 2023 that the front and rear cameras are actually pretty decent....along with the side-mirror cameras that show the front of the car. However, as soon as you switch to the rear view from the side mirror, a different set of cameras engage and the quality in the infotainment screen decreases drastically.
This struck me as odd, since I assume these cameras are used for nothing other than parking assistance, the cameras behind the rear-view mirror should be used for ACC, but if not, it would make sense that the side-view mirrors in the front would have a higher resolution to help facilitate that behavior...however what about blind spot assistance? Shouldn't that also need a decent resolution to help identify areas in the blind spots?
IDK seems like a weird choice to me.
