That’s right I’m talking about the era of Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji. Both have had a lot successes and that too at the same time. Both were the top Bollywood queens of early and mid 2000s. Both debuted in the late 90s. Both had career redefining films in 2002. They went on to work together in 4 movies starting Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. 2004 they had Veer Zaara and 2006 they had Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Aside from those films they have done countless cameos in other films and even were apart of the temptation bollywood concert tour. As well as interviews and tv appearances together. Rani and Preity were probably the only two female actors in Bollywood I ever saw worked together so much and that too during their prime and with most famous filmmakers like Karan Johar and Yash Chopra. They were magical together on screen. They really have great chemistry and obviously are very professional about their work or they wouldn’t have worked so much together. It’s funny how no one really talks much about how these two were working together considering how media often stir up drama between actresses at that time. I think Rani and Preity broke barriers and glass ceilings in their careers but also together they changed the narrative and stopped the naysayers by working on films together proving female actresses can get along and be professional without being best friends and without paying attention to the media gossip. I really do wish to see them work together again or even do a future episode of KWK together. Or even a cameo together in song or scene of a movie.
