In the middle of writing a fic and I’ve found there’s a bit of a trend in the fandom of giving animals quirks. Not too separate from Cannon since Nedzu is an animal experiment and Vigilantes did it too.
My fic features a quirk less Izuku so I wanted to give him a Quirked pet to serve as a partner and occasional support. I’m really leaning towards cats but I could also go for a dog if it makes sense.
Any help or ideas are appreciate
He would meet/get the pet in the 10 months leading up to the UA entrance exam.

I’m thinking Shibu Inu or Akita, mainly cause I love the larger dogs
