“Wait for my signal!” Izumi shouted as she looked at her blastoise, who was standing in front of her, her friend and partner nodded at her

They were battling the elite four, and this was the final challenger, lance, who guarded the door behind him

Lance stood there, taunting her, and her Pokémon, he was judging Izumi, to see if she was ready for the champion title

Izumi clenched her hands, he was underestimating her, she looked up to see the dragonair coming closer to her blastoise

She saw the flying baby dragon flying at them, then she shouted, “now! Jump in the air and use a ice punch!” Blastoise jumped up into the air and grabbed the dragonair from the air before slamming its icy fist into the back of the dragonair

The dragonair cried, as it landed on the ground, slumped over showing it was knocked out, then lance recalled his Pokémon

Izumi brought out blastoise pokeball to recall her, then she brought out snorlax, out off his pokeball

Then lance sent out his last Pokémon, dragonite, who burst out of their pokeball, and roared at them

Snorlax looked at her, Izumi nods softly to her Pokémon, snorlax gained some confidence and got ready

Lance smirked at her then shot forward his hand “now! Use dragon rush!” He said

Dragonite flew towards snorlax with determination in its eyes

“Use protect hurry!” Izumi shouted

Snorlax brought up its arms as a barrier was formed around snorlax, the dragonite slammed against it, pushing her Pokémon back a little bit

“Rock slide!” Izumi called out to her partner, snorlax cried out as rocks appeared to fall down on dragonite, who dodged all of it

“Get in close and use focus blast!” Lance commanded his dragonite who obeyed him as his Pokémon formed a blue and white ball on its fist

Izumi panicked and shouted at her partner“Snorlax use protect again!”

But it was too late for the sleeping Pokémon, dragonite’s focus blast hits snorlax, and the pokemon let out a pained cry as it was shot past her, and slammed into a statue nearby

“Snorlax!” She called out as she dashed towards him, the pokemon was almost knocked out, it was struggling to get up

Izumi looked at her Pokémon in worry as it tried to get up then she had a flashback

“Stop hurting her kacchan!” Izumi shouted as she blocked katsuki from hurting the girl behind her

The boy laughed “what are you going to do quirkless wonder? Cry?” He said smirking at her with his hands sparking

Izumi flinched as the boy she used to call her friend was running at her, and exploded her, she fell onto the ground

“Snorlax, can you still fight?” She asked her pokemon, the snorlax responded by standing up fully, “snorlax!” Her pokemon wasn’t ready to give up here and now

Izumi nodded, as she and snorlax walked to where she was standing before

Lance smiled “good, you’re not giving up?” He said, Izumi shook her head “my Pokémon isn’t giving up, and I won’t give up as long as they keep fighting!” Izumi said

“Heh, then give me a good battle!” Lance said as he commanded his dragonite to use a hyper beam

Izumi told snorlax to use another protect, which it did, “now Ice beam!” She said as her pokemon shot a light blue beam at the dragonite, which it dodged easily, but, a portion of the ice beam had clipped its wings, which forced it

The dragonite fell onto the ground, and Izumi used this chance, “hyper beam now!” She said

snorlax shot the hyper beam at the dragonite, which did a lot of damage to the flying Pokémon, dragonite grunted as it tried to get up

“Don’t let it get up! Use ice beam!” Izumi shout out as she watch her Pokémon use a ice beam

The beam hits the dragonite, and in turn, knocks it out, Lance laughed as he recalled his Pokémon

“A good battle my friend! Now I see why they call you a hero!” Lance said

Izumi blushed a little as she walked towards Lance “your not champion yet, there’s one more challenge ahead of you” Lance said as he healed her pokemon

“Don’t give up yet” Izumi heard lance as she went through the door to the champions room, she climbed up the stairs to the top floor of the pokemon tower

She thought of her journey, and how she got here, including her goal, it wasn’t to become a champion, no, it was about being a hero for others

She also thought about the people who helped her out along the way, her parents, the friends she made too

Then, she thought about blue as she stopped halfway to the champions room ‘blue…..’ She clenched her hands as she made it to the door to the champion’s room

‘Ever since we started dating back in lavender town, you’ve been distance from me since red become somewhat of a star’ she thought as she opened the door

Izumi saw blue looking at her with a smile on his face “huh, I thought red was going to be here, but never mind that, I know how strong you are Izumi” blue said as he brought out a pokeball

“I've seen Pokémon all over kanto! I made a team that can cover any weakness! Now, I’m the strongest trainer in the world!” Blue said as he pointed at her

“No one is ever going to beat me! Ever again!” Blue said as the lights shined on him, the screen behind him glow brightly

“Now! Fight me Izumi!” Blue said

Izumi adjusted her belt on her wrist as she grabbed golems’s pokeball “ok then, give me your best shot blue” she said
