I found the HFEA strategy first posted on"Opitmized Portfolio's" post.
Hedge Fundie was a member of the bogleheads forum so i'm curious what you all think?
I currently have my Roth IRA split into 3 pies:
1st pie (80%) = VTI (80%) / VXUS (20%)
2nd pie (10%) = HFEA (the 55/45 split recommended)
3rd pie (10%) = "conviction picks" - stocks I like and wanted to hold.
I'm rethinking my strategy 1-year in because it's a LOT of overlap I'm realizing. I wonder if i shouldn't just go 100% of my money into VTI / VXUS and ignore the conviction picks, and the HFEA "fOr FuN" picks?
Since the HFEA strategy originated from a former boglehead, I was curious if anyone here still utilizes it?
