Hey reddit body surfers, I'm a surfer though with summer hitting Australia I thought I'd make a hand plane to mess around with. Though I was hoping any one who's made one and used it successfully could give me some tips.
What size do you use, no doubt I could estimate a size but has anybody had better success with smaller or preferred bigger? Also thickness!
Are they flat? Any rocker required?
I'm most likely going to use Pine though any other suggestions?
If I'm required to glue to pieces together what have other used? I was thinking biscuit though it would be harder without a biscuit cutter.
Finally finishes?
