Am I losing too much muscle on my cut?

Just under 6 foot, started cutting down from a chunky 245 at Xmas, and cus it was going so well, I decided to do a show, October this year. I've been dieting for about 12-14 weeks, got 13 to go. I'm currently dropping about 2lbs a week.

About a month and a half ago I was 222lbs, 24.4. (Calipers has me at 17-18%) This week I'm 212, 21.4. Calipers had me at about 11%) This was done via dexa-scan, and on the print out it said I'd lost 7lbs fat and 5lbs LBM. Now, I do know some of that is water. But fat doesn't really have that much water. So to me that's an outrageous amount of muscle lost, potentially.

I have no aspirations for placing very well in this show, I'm just doing it because I want to get back on stage after 20 years, having done one other show in my life.

I do plan to do more on this one but my number one concern (after not being shit at posing) is not losing muscle TOO much.

42 years old, 5'11 3/4" (181-182cm) and currently just under 212lbs (96kg). Protein has been around 230g/day, at 2100kcal. When I was eating 2500kcal, protein was 250-270g most days. Maintenance calories for me are about 3200-3400 (I think). At 3000kcal/day I was slowly losing, like maybe 1-2lbs a month. I was also working lots then, I've been off work since I was at 2700kcal/day (parental leave).

So I'm looking for advice here because a couple of concerns are that 1) I'm losing too much muscle, 2) I'm wasting time for a show I won't do well and rather than risk losing more muscle, I should train and build, and go for a Spring show instead, and finally 3) am I losing too much of the wrong kind of weight, or is this normal?

Thanks everyone!
