Idk how common knowledge this is but the idea of "women obviously are the ones to wear makeup because they are the prettiest sex" is a relatively new idea. In the time around Plato, it was actually "men obviously are the ones to wear makeup because they are the prettiest sex". So, do you think if this fetish was floating around in those times, we would have seen a bigger female population trying to be the prettier sex?
