I’m wondering if body acceptance is getting better, or worse?
My gen grew up on Glamour, Red Book, Color Me Beautiful, Joni Greggins, then Sassy when we hit late middle school.
You young ones are dealing with social media and cameras everywhere bs that we, thank God, never had to deal with.
I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are, across the generations. I’m almost fifty, and finally loving my body, with its pudge and jiggles and cellulite et al.
I want to say something. Every last one of you, of us, are beautiful. When things started turning around for me was when I started being grateful to and for my body. I saw how much hate I’d been sending it. These bodies carry us through this reality, I’m very grateful to have everything working like it’s supposed to.
I’m drunk and high, but that’s when I’m the most open. I truly hope this helps someone feel better,
Im mid thirties and i have passed my peak beauty, but I’m finally actually starting to feel beautiful without makeup which is thanks to lots of therapy and hard work! Sending you love ❤️
