My 9-5 has been in BRIC for the past year roughly, and yesterday my supervisor informed me of this development. No AC for two days in the hottest month of the year is one thing, but no usability of drinking fountains on top of that is extra unappealing- great way to get dehydrated! Does this mean that toilets won't flush either? Having waste accumulate in a hot stuffy building is not ideal for air quality. Can anyone who's been working in BRIC long enough to have experienced one of these shutoffs for maintenance tell me how the building (or businesses therein) mitigate potential pitfalls?
